Michelle Scharnick will be covering the practice while Rumaine Naidoo is on maternity leave. The practice operates from Life Westville Hospital - Monday to Friday, and alternate Saturdays.

About Michelle Scharnick, a qualified Counselling Psychologist here to help you.

Qualifications & registrations:

  • B.A (Psychology and Communication) Cum Laude
  • Honours B.A (Psychology) Cum Laude
  • Master of Social Science (Counselling Psychology)
  • Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

I currently have 8 years’ experience of practice in the field of psychology. I have a special
interest in the field of trauma and trauma counselling. I offer individual psychotherapy and
counselling for adults, young adults and adolescents dealing with the following psychological and emotional problems: trauma, anxiety, depression, major life adjustments, interpersonal difficulties, grief, and stress. I also offer career counselling and assessment for learners making subject and career choices.
